Golden Nugget Casino - Las Vegas, NV
In the old days of Las Vegas, the Golden Nugget was a casino unlike any other. Today, it’s still a great casino and in fact the Golden Nugget Casino offers some of the highest limit gambling in downtown Las Vegas. It’s located in the heart of downtown, right by
Binion’s Horseshoe Casino. The Golden Nugget hotel rooms are classical and elegant. Unlike most of the Las Vegas Strip, which can be a little pricey, rooms at the Golden Nugget Casino start at just $69. Staying in Las Vegas is extremely affordable if you know where to look. Downtown is a great place to stay, because the rooms are usually much more inexpensive. Downtown Las Vegas is also home to some of the lowest gambling limits in the city, which is perfect for those wishing to learn how to play.
Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse at the Golden Nugget
Like many good casinos, the Golden Nugget has a great steakhouse—Vic & Anthony’s. Their steakhouse features the best cuts of steak as well as fresh seafood, like lobster. All their meat comes from grain-fed cows. They have all the cuts of beef you would expect from a great steakhouse. Vic & Anthony’s also has Lamb Chops, Veal Chops, Maple Glazed Quail, Beluga Caviar and much more. Vic & Anthony’s also features impeccable service. It’s truly a great dining experience.
Hand of Faith
What’s the point of going to a place called the Golden Nugget if you can’t see any Gold? Well, you are in luck. It’s called the Hand of Faith and it’s one exhibit you have to see to believe. The Hand of Faith is the largest gold nugget on public display on the entire planet! This gold nugget was found in Australia and is now on display in downtown Las Vegas. The Hand of Faith (which actually looks like a hand) weighs in at 61 pounds and 11 ounces. That’s 987 ounces of gold in this one nugget. Imagine what it’s worth at today’s gold prices.
