Black Hawk Reviews

I have been to Black Hawk on a number of occasions and in fact I have worked in many of the casinos there at one point or another. I find the town of Black Hawk to be quite a unique experience. First - it's only a mile or so from Central City, another gambling town. These towns are historic gold mining towns so there are relics all around. There is even a museum in Central City. The casinos in Black Hawk have a ton of slots, but you'll also find blackjack tables and poker rooms. Most notable in the poker arena is the Gilpin Hotel Casnios poker room. It has large number of tables. Eating is good in Black Hawk, too, just don't cheap out. The most expensive places in town aren't that expensive (if you're gambling, none of the food should be too pricey).

The biggest gripe among gamblers over all is the lack of lodging which has been slowly addressed over the years. Definately recommend the Lodge Hotel & Casino or the Isle of Capri if you are staying over night. Enjoy!
