  With not being familiar with this part of the world and after reading quite a few reviews about The Grand I had expected a crumbling old building and not much more. I was in fact pleasantly surprised with all aspects of this hotel. But especially the cleanliness of the rooms. The food was very good too for the price and although the service was poor in the evening. it was not the fault of the staff as they were often juggling 2-3 jobs at a time. all in all a very pleasant stay and right in the heart of the city and all the attractions. I will certainly be returning.
