This was the second time we've stayed at the Tamarijn. We love the layout with beachfront rooms and the location is nice. The staff is very friendly, for the most part. Our room was clean, and housekeeping was excellent. The food was just as we remembered it - not remarkable, but good for an all-inclusive. The Red Parrot was still our favorite restaurant. Be sure to book your reservations there as far in advance as possible. Don't take the 9:30 slot! Issue: We are really normally not ones to complain, and cannot emphasize enough how much we love the Tamarijn, but we were extremely dissapointed with at situation at Paparazzi (the Italian restaurant.) We took the only reservation left (9:30 PM.) We ordered our food, and when it came, we noticed our friend's salmon dish had been made hours before. The salmon was dry, the sause it came in was dry and had a hard film on top from sitting out, and it was cold. We immediately brought it to the attention of the waiter. He said there was nothing they could do because the kitchen was closed, though our food had just come out. We asked if there was any other meal they could bring for him, and the answer was No. We even asked the matre de - No, again. So, they wouldn't give him anything. He ended up eating little bits off our plates. This is not good service, and this really should have been handled differently.

We were lucky enough to have a room in building 1900 with a nice section of the beach. However the room wasnt that clean. As we were packing up to leave I looked under the bed and found a receipt. No big deal - housekeeping didnt come that day. However when I looked at the receipt it was from a store in Philadelphia we live in Boston. Clearly they dont really quotcleanquot the rooms. The beach is nice in some sections. Some buildings ... 2100 and higher towards the end of the resort have just coral and rocks #40no spot for a chair no sand#41. If we had one of those rooms I would have been really bummed. The Bunker Bar had the best drinks by far ... the bar by the pool made the worst drinks #40it was the same drink ... but tasted awful!#41 The pizza bar makes fatastic pizzas and great turkey club sandwiches. Note - the bars will give you glasses of water but if you want a bottled water you have to buy it in the gift shop. Rooms were smaller then the pictures made it seem. Bring shampoo conditioner ... they have that cheap stuff in a dispenser on the wall of the shower - body wash/shampoo combo and no conditioner. I would stay at the Divi next time because it was nicer #40newer more class and not nearly as many kids#41. I guess the bottom line is that the only nice thing about the Tamarijn is if you have a room on the first floor with a few feet until the boardwalk and then the white sandy beach - if we didnt have that it would have been quotbadquot - not quotok.quot Thanksgiving: overcooked Turkey no mashed potatoes.

I liked how they had golf carts for free that would take you inbetween the different areas and the casino. I also liked the all inclusive aspect. One day I checked out a Kayak and paddled out real far. The water was crystal clear and I noticed sea turtles all around. You could also check out a bicycle and ride up to a grocery store for supplies in 5 minutes. I thought the food was good. They have nice restaurants and bars with quotbarquot style food. My wife really liked the mexican french frys. One day we went into town to eat and it took 2 hours - long wait. It makes a big difference and saves a lot of time eating at the resort. One thing I loved about Aruba - I felt safe everywhere we went on the island. My suggesting is - choose a room thats close to the buffets and beer. We walked around at other resorts but I thought this was the best one.

My husband and I had a good experience at Tamarijn All Inclusive. The services in general were very good. The location, I think, it was one of the best. All ocean view rooms. The food, entertainment, everything was very nice. Another good thing is that you can go to Divi All Inclusive and enjoy everything they offer there, without paying a single penny more. The staff is great, very helpful. The rooms were clean. The only thing I really think it could be better was the selection of music at Tamarijn. I think they could play more current songs at the bars.
