Iowa Daily Lotto Games
The Iowa Lottery has three different daily games. Pick 3 lotto and Pick 4 lotto are very similar and share the same drawing times. The $100,000 Cash lotto Game only has one drawing per day, six (6) days a week (Monday-Saturday) at 6:28 p.m. Players of all three (3) of these Lotteries have ninety (90) days from the date of the drawing to claim cash prizes.
Iowa Pick 3 lotto & Pick 4 lotto
The Pick 3 lottery and Pick 4 lottery are similar enough to compare them side by side. As was stated above, the two share the same drawing times. Lotto Results: The Midday drawings are held Monday thru Saturday at 12:40 p.m. The Evening drawings are held seven (7) days a week at 9:20 p.m.
Both lotto games can be played for fifty cents ($0.50), one dollar ($1), two dollars ($2), three dollars ($3), four dollars ($4) or five dollars ($5). Both lottery games can be played up to fourteen (14) consecutive drawings in advance as well.
Pick 3 lotto players pick three (3) numbers between zero and nine (0-9). Pick 4 players choose four (4) numbers between zero and nine (0-9). Lottery players may choose to have the computer select the numbers by requesting an Easy Pick. Once players have selected their numbers, they must select their play type. Play types to choose from are Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Front Pair or Back Pair. The fifty cent ($0.50) play is only available on the Box, Front Pair and Back Pair plays.
The Straight play requires the player match all of the winning numbers in the exact order in which they were drawn, but offers the largest cash prize in both games. The Pick 3 Straight win fetches a handsome three thousand dollars ($3,000) on a five dollar ($5) ticket. A one dollar ($1) play would win three hundred dollars ($300). A Pick 4 Straight win on the other hand drags behind it a hefty thirty thousand dollar ($30,000) cash prize on a five dollar ($5) ticket. A one dollar ($1) play will still win three thousand dollars ($3,000), which was described above as being a handsome amount. The odds of a Straight win playing Pick 3 are 1:1,000 while the odds in Pick 4 are 1:10,000.
A Box play allows the player to match the winning numbers in any order. There are cash prize sub-categories in Box play. In Pick 3 lotto there are two (2) and in the Pick 4 lottery there are four (4). The Pick 3 lotto categories are Box 3-Way and Box 6-Way. A Box 3-Way requires two of the winning numbers be the same. A Box 6-Way requires all three (3) numbers be unique. A 3-Way wins one thousand dollars ($1,000) on a five dollar ($5) play and a 6-Way win pays five hundred dollars ($500) on a five dollar ($5) play. In Pick 4 however, the categories are Box 4-Way, Box 6-Way, Box 12-Way and Box 24-Way. Again, Box play allows the player to match the winning numbers in any order, The 4-Way Box requires three (3) of the four (4) numbers to be the same. The 6-Way requires the winning numbers be in two (2) pairs. The 12-Way requires only two (2) of the four (4) winning numbers be the same and the 24-Way has four (4) unique winning numbers. A 4-Way win pays seventy-five hundred dollars ($7,500), the 6-Way pays five thousand dollars ($5,000), the 12-Way wins twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500) and the 24-Way pays twelve hundred and fifty dollars ($1,250).
The Straight/Box play is just as it sounds. Both the Straight play and Box play combined. The numbers of ways of winning are increased as well as the amount of money you can win.
Front Pair and Back Pair are also as they sound. Players must only match either the first two numbers or the last two. Players must however match the numbers in the same order. Both Front Pair and Back Pair in Pick 3 lotto wins a maximum of three hundred dollars ($300). In Pick 4, the maximum win is also three hundred dollars ($300).
That’s about all there is to it. As you can see, the Pick 3 lottery and Pick 4 lotto games are not only easy but exciting as well. What are you waiting for? Go out and play!
Iowa’s $100,000 Cash Lotto Game
The $100,000 Cash lottery Game is no joke. One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is a nice chunk of change. And to be so easily won…
Lotto players simply pick five (5) numbers between one and thirty-five (1-35). If they would rather, players may ask for an easy pick and the computer will select the numbers. Tickets cost one dollar ($1) per play and players may play their numbers up to twenty-four (24) consecutive drawings in advance. The idea is not to let your numbers win without you.
$100,000 Cash Game Lotto Results: Now you have your ticket with the winning numbers, you hope. The drawings are held six nights a week, Monday thru Saturday at 6:28 p.m.
Match all five (5) winning numbers and win one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000). Match four (4) of the numbers and win one hundred dollars ($100). Match three (3) numbers and win five dollars ($5). Players who match two (2) numbers win a free play.
The overall odds of winning the $100,000 Cash Game are 1:7.20.
