A New York man who tried to cash in on a $16.5 million lottery in Iowa withdrew his claim after officials asked him to explain how he got the winning ticket. Crawford Shaw, an attorney from Bedford, N.Y., notified lottery officials Thursday evening through his Iowa-based attorneys that he would not supply the details they had asked for by today, and so was withdrawing his claim.
