Mardi Gras Casino & Resort is located off Route 2 South in Cross Lanes (Nitro) , West Virginia about 13 miles from Charleston. The casino offers 90,000 square feet of gambling space with 70 different games spread over 900 slot machines, 30 gaming tables and up to 24 live action poker games spreading Texas Hold'em, Omaha, 7 Stud and more. Live racing, daily simulcasts, and entertainment round out the excitement.
Formerly known as Tri-State, a slot license was procured and machines were added in 2008 and with the addition of table games and refurbishing to a Carnival theme it was renamed in July 2010. The Mardi Gras Casino & Resort is open 24 hours a day.
Hotel accommodations are fairly lavish but with good prices. The 4-star Resort offers 150 air-conditioned guestrooms including more than 20 suites, all with plenty of comforting amenities. Enjoy your stay with an indoor pool, a health club, and a spa tub. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Business amenities include 24-hour business center, small meeting rooms, and limo service. Complimentary breakfast is served each morning. Restaurants include the highly popular French Quarter fine dining and the Bayou Buffet.
