Bella Vista — Members of the Bella Vista Neighborhood Association enjoyed a game night/birthday party in mid-April at Real Life Church. Neighbors played board games and enjoyed birthday cake to celebrate the 15th year of the association’s recognition by the city of Vancouver. Bella Vista was among several east county neighborhoods annexed by Vancouver in 1997.

It's a dangerous intersection on a local highway, and people are fired up about a plan to add more traffic there. A meeting was held Monday evening in Bella Vista to discuss rezoning part of Highway 71 for a new business, but the meeting had to be rescheduled after the fire marshal shut it down because so many people showed up.

Lee Johnson, 72, of Bella Vista, AR, died May 9, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, AR. He was born June 2, 1939, in Pioneer, TN. Lee grew up in Leavenworth, WA.
