Pensacola, FL - Ian Gac and Barrett Kleinknecht hit back-to-back doubles in the ninth inning to send the Mississippi Braves to a 6-5 win over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos on Friday night in front of a sellout crowd of 5,038 at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium.

For the 16th time this season, the Pensacola Bayfront Stadium was sold out. They were treated to a thrilling comeback and the first 2,000 fans received a special patriotic cap courtesy of Virginia College.

For eight years Pensacola International Airport has been buying up property on 65 acres north of the airport. Homes and businesses are being bought and torn down as part of the airport expansion. Not everyone is happy about the project but it may just be the price of progress.

A sellout crowd of 5,038 watched the Blue Wahoos play in special camo jerseys which were auctioned off throughout the game to raise money for Andrew's Institute's Eagle Fund to help wounded members of our military.

Looks like former D.C. Council member Harry Thomas Jr. might be able to do his hard time in an easier climate. Thomas’s lead defense attorney, Seth Rosenthal , asked U.S. District Judge John D. Bates at Thursday’s sentencing if he would recommend to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons that Thomas do his time at one of two federal prison camps, in Montgomery, Ala. , or Pensacola, Fla . The 15th sellout crowd of the season went home happy as the Blue Wahoos claimed a 4-2 win over the Mississippi Braves on Thursday night. The packed house made for another great experience at the Pensacola Bayfront Stadium.
