A man found dead on the side of a Choctaw road on Tuesday morning has been identified.

Choctaw Police are investigating their first homicide in four years after someone found a man dead Tuesday morning on the side of the road.

Choctaw police say they have identified a body found in the 2300 block of North Henney Road near Northeast 23rd Street, but are waiting to release the man's name until after his family has been notified.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and Choctaw police are investigating the homicide of a man whose body was found on the side of a road Tuesday morning.

CHOCTAW, Okla. -- As the morning fog cleared Tuesday, police got a call from passersby saying there was a body along the side of Henny Rd. near Northeast 23rd in Choctaw. We are now learning more about that victim who OSBI identified as 29-year-old Robert Lynn Coy.
