Nexant, Inc. announced today that the company has been engaged to assist the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and its affiliated state agencies in hosting a high-level energy marketing mission designed to facilitate investment and promote partnership opportunities for Trinidad and Tobago’s rapidly growing energy sector.

Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (2010.SA), or Sabic, and China Petrochemical and Chemical Corp. (SNP), or Sinopec, have agreed to start negotiations with Trinidad and Tobago to possibly build a $5.3 billion methanol complex in that country, according to the world's largest petrochemical maker by market value.
