California SuperLotto Plus
Basic information about the California SuperLotto Plus: In order to purchase a ticket or share in any prize for the California SuperLotto Plus you must be at least 18 years of age. SuperLotto Plus is a statewide lottery game that is played in the same way as Mega Millions except it is only available in the state of California. The SuperLotto Plus jackpot starts at seven million dollars, ($7 million) and continues to grow with each Wednesday and Saturday draw until someone wins. SuperLotto Plus is easy to play and every ticket purchased comes with one entry into the weekly SuperLotto Plus 2nd Chance draw.
There are nine prize divisions including the jackpot. Players who win the jackpot prize can choose to be paid in one lump sum (cash - discounted) or receive their money over a period of 30 years with the amount disbursed each year rising annually. On the first year you would receive 1.81% of the advertised jackpot and on the 30th year, you would receive 5.56%. Most people choose the cash option.
How Can I Play SuperLotto Plus?
SuperLotto Plus players will choose a total of six (6) numbers; five (5) from one to forty-seven (1-47) and one (1) MEGA number from one to twenty-seven (1-27). When you match all five (5) of the winning numbers along with the MEGA number, you win the jackpot. SuperLotto Plus tickets are one dollar ($1) per play and you can do as many as five (5) separate plays on a single slip. The tickets are available from lottery concierge or messenger services online such theLotter, or at more than 22,000 California Lottery retailers.
Once you've decided where to buy your ticket(s) you can choose your lucky numbers by marking them in blue or black ink yourself, or play with randomly generated numbers using the Quick Pick feature. With Quick Pick you let the machine pick all six numbers for you, or choose your own MEGA number and let the machine choose the other five.
If you only want to visit a lottery retailer once, you can buy tickets in advance for up to 20 draws by choosing the Advance Play option on the slip. Buy 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 draws in advance or choose 16 or 20 consecutive draws with a single payment. Remember, draws happen twice each week, so purchasing 20 Advance Play draws will put you in the game for 10 consecutive weeks.
