Impressions: I've played 3-6 limit there twice. Both times I came away with a good feeling, despite dropping $160 the first time. They advertise limit & NL hold'em, Omaha8, and Stud, but I've only seen hold'em there: 3-6 limit, 1-2 NL & 2-5 NL. Competition is SOFT in limit games. Last time I was there for 7 hours, and I was the ONLY person at the table who ever check-raised. I got called down and won all 3 times I did it. That's pretty representative of the place.
Atmosphere: 8 tables in a modern, semi-spacious, walled-off area in the back of the casino. The room has slot machines on one side, so those are chiming away, but it's not very loud. Tables have auto-shufflers but no built-in cupholders, just little cups that you wedge underneath the padding. A few TVs visible from all angles.
Dealers: Very competent, friendly, & knowledgeable dealers. I think I only saw 2 mis-deals in a 7-hour session the last time I played.
Food: Servers have pop on hand for instant service. I think there were 2 servers for a full room when I was there. Service came around less often than desired, but was quick with drinks. Domestic macro-beers are $3.25 I think, but there are random import specials - last time Stella Artois was $2, and another time it was Smithwyck's for $2.
The place only gets 3 stars because there's NO food service in the room, and I heard management admonish players for pulling out their own grub.
Service: Waitlists seem to be well organized. You can call ahead up to 1 hour. We called on a Saturday afternoon about 30 minutes away, and I got a set at 3-6 within 15 minutes of arrival, and my friend got one at 1-2NL within 20 minutes. I haven't witnessed any problems with management. There's a very friendly woman on the Saturday day shift who remembered my friend after he'd only been there twice before.
Comps: Standard $1/hour with the players club card. BBJ for Hold'em was huge when we were there, $17000. They had much smaller ones for Omaha and Stud, but I've never seen those games spread.
