Preparatory work has begun at Wynn Resorts Ltd’s casino-complex project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). To be named "Wynn Al Marjan Island," the project, which is located on a man-made island called Al Marjan Island, in Ras Al Khaimah, is reportedly set to open in early 2027. To rise more than 1,000 feet (305 meters) above the sea, the development was announced in Jan. 2022 and includes Wynn Resorts along with local partners, namely developer Marjan LLC and hotel and leisure business operator RAK Hospitality Holding LLC.
Plans for the approximately US$3.9 billion venture will reportedly include a luxury hotel with approximately 1,500 rooms, suites and villas, all reflecting the brand’s signature, high-design opulence, a high-end shopping esplanade, a state-of-the-art events center, an exclusive spa, 24 dining and lounge experiences, a wide range of entertainment choices, spa and wellness, a theatre, UAE's first casino, and more.
The island is only 15 minutes from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport.
