Update: The Andorra Regulatory Board has awarded Juegos the concession for 20 years for the Casino de Andorra.

The Andorra Gaming Control Board is currently in the process of reviewing all applications from interested operators who placed bids for the nation’s sole casino license in October, 2013. The gaming regulator will evaluate the received proposals on a hundred-point scale.

According to Andorra’s gaming regulator, the land (located in the Escaldes-Engordany parish in the southern part of Andorra) where the resort is to be built will offer both gaming and non-gaming facilities with the casino covering at least 21,000 sq ft. The resort will also offer multi-purpose complexes including retail outlets, restaurants and much more.

Major gaming operators with their bids and projects currently under review include the Genting Group and Cirsa.
