Bally’s Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel Review Jump to comments

The former Belle of Baton Rouge has a new name, a new look, and a new life. Reintroduced as Bally’s Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel, this fully land-based entertainment complex celebrated its Grand Opening on December 6, 2025. The ten-story property now features 242 modern rooms, including 63 signature suites and two supreme suites that set a higher bar for comfort in the capital city. Guests can enjoy a sleek fitness center, a VIP lounge with panoramic riverfront views, and the fresh energy of a space built for both relaxation and play.

The transformation delivers 25,000 square feet of contemporary gaming, dining and entertainment to the heart of the Baton Rouge riverfront. There are a total of 200 slots on the casino floor, along with a spacious elevated smoking section at Embers Casino and Bar, where there are also plenty of screens and approximately 8 live dealer tables. Sports fans get their own open arena at the Sportsbook, featuring a massive 46-foot screen, 14 betting kiosks, a fully-stocked 360 bar and a one-of-a-kind gigantic ticker tape.

Dining is a full experience of its own. Hearth Pizzeria fills the air with the smell of wood-fired dough and Italian comfort favorites like Mama’s Meatballs and Sunday Ziti. The Oyster Bar brings the Gulf straight to your plate with oysters shucked right in front of you. Vintage 1806 offers a calm, refined corner for curated wines from across the world, while Maritime Coffee keeps mornings easy with Community Coffee classics and pastries from Aucoin’s Bakery. The Terrace rounds out the lineup with an inviting open dining space and a private room perfect for small celebrations.

For extra fun, Pelican Pins, a two-lane bowling alley, adds a playful retro twist. At the center of it all sits The Barge, the casino’s signature bar, serving handcrafted cocktails, local brews, and seasonal specialties with style.

Bally’s Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel blends fresh energy with riverfront charm, setting the stage for a new era of gaming, dining, and unforgettable nights in Louisiana’s capital.

The Dining Depot is the center of Bally’s Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel, designed as an open, full-service hub that nods to the building’s past as a historic train station. Brick walls, exposed beams and a shared open kitchen create a warm, industrial setting where guests can order from any part of the menu and dine in one common space.

Hearth Pizzeria sets the tone with dough made fresh daily and the smell of wood-fired pizza. The menu includes Italian comfort dishes such as Mama’s Meatballs, Sunday Ziti and a Muffuletta Salad with a Louisiana touch. Next to it, Shuck’s Oyster Bar offers a front-row seat to fresh Gulf oysters shucked to order.

Vintage 1806 gives wine lovers a refined spot to explore curated selections from around the world, while Maritime Coffee serves Community Coffee favorites and pastries from Aucoin’s Bakery. Overlooking the room, The Terrace provides an airy dining area with a private space for small gatherings.

A walk through the back leads to a private dining room and a speakeasy-style lounge that features two full-size bowling lanes, rounding out the Depot’s mix of food, drinks and entertainment.
