Cedar Crossing Casino & Entertainment Center Review Jump to comments
LATEST NEWS: In late July 2026, Cedar Crossing Casino & Entertainment Center announced that its $275 million development would open in mid-November, earlier than originally scheduled. The grand opening celebration has also been moved forward from Dec. 31 to Dec. 4–5.
Representing the largest casino investment in Iowa, the 160,000-square-foot property will feature destination dining concepts, including The Clubhouse by Zach Johnson, along with an Arts and Cultural Center. Entertainment offerings will include a roughly 1,500-seat event center and Jocko’s Comedy Club. Other property amenities will include 700 slot machines, 22 table games, a sportsbook, several restaurants, and a STEM education center.
Plans for Cedar Crossing Casino will move forward after Riverside Casino did not file an appeal in the June 2025 decision.
After the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission voted to approve a gaming license for Linn County, clearing the way for a proposed casino in Cedar Rapids, Iowa operator Cedar Rapids Development Group, LLC broke ground on the casino on Friday, February 7, 2025. Twelve years in the making, the casino will be built on the former site of Cooper’s Mill hotel and restaurant just west of the Cedar River, near downtown Cedar Rapids.
