The East Wind Casino, located on the east edge of Martin, South Dakota on Highway 18, has been opened since 2012. It is the second of two gaming venues owned and operated by the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, the first being the Prairie Wind Casino & Hotel, which opened in 1994 and is the only casino on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

Currently, the East Wind Casino is operated under a Class II gaming license. The approximately 2,400 square feet of gaming floor consists of 121 Class II Video Lottery Terminals (VLT’s). The venue is opened 24 hours a day 7 days a week and features some fantastic big-money promotions.

Guests can grab a quick bite at the East Wind Casino’s convenient deli/snack area, which also players with complimentary coffee and soda. The facility offers both smoking and non-smoking gaming sections to accommodate everyone. The casino does not serve alcohol.

East Wind Casino is surrounded by breathtaking vistas and the beauty of the South Dakota prairie. Just northwest of the casino are the Black Hills and to the north, the Badlands of South Dakota.

The Oglala Sioux Tribe was recently awarded a new Class III gaming compact, which means it can now offer banked card games such as roulette, craps, and keno at its gaming facilities.
