Genting UK is set to transform part of the iconic London Trocadero in the West End into a major new leisure destination. The project will reactivate about 37,000 sq. ft. of unused space within the Grade II-listed Coventry Street building, blending its historic character with modern entertainment.

The centerpiece of the redevelopment is a 16,000 sq. ft. casino, spread across the ground and first floors with additional operational areas in the basement. Scheduled to open in October 2026, the venue will run 24/7, adding to what industry observers have called a growing “London Strip” of casinos, alongside the Hippodrome and Empire Casino in Leicester Square.

Dining and social spaces will complement the gaming facilities. Plans include a ground-floor restaurant overlooking Coventry Street, a refined dining room on the first floor designed to serve both standalone guests and casino visitors, and additional food and beverage offerings in the basement tailored to casino patrons.

Targeting an audience of 25 and older, the venue is being designed to foster an inclusive and diverse atmosphere. With its mix of gaming, dining, and social experiences, Genting’s Trocadero development aims to reestablish the landmark as a vibrant hub in the heart of London’s West End.
