Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit Review
UPDATE: (Nov. 2018) The project is reportedly being reviewed by the U.S. Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs and is now on the next to last step before approval by the governor. The city of Beloit hopes to break ground in the next couple of years.
The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin's proposed $405.5 million casino and resort development in Beloit will reportedly feature a 300-room hotel,, 5 restaurants and 2,200 slots along with 50 table games in the casino. The project would also reportedly include a 40,000-square-foot water park, an employee child care facility and 30,000-square-foot conference center/entertainment space.
It is anticipated that the plan will be reviewed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) in 2018 and if approved, it will proceed to Madison for final review. However, according to reports, it's likely that the final decision won't come until 2019 with construction starting as early as 2020.
Gaming at Ho-Chunk Gaming
While the Ho-Chunk Nation hasn't laid out the specific gaming positions the Beloit location will have upon opening, we anticipate because of its size, that it will have similar gaming amenities to those at its Wittenberg casino. Tribal officials have said, however, that if all goes according to plan, the Beloit casino could see 2,200 gaming machines and as many as 50 table games.
