The Kingsway Entertainment District located on the Kingsway East in Sudbury, Canada will feature an Event Center/Arena, Festival Square, and a casino adjoining a hotel and associated restaurants. The Event Center will be owned by the City of Greater Sudbury while the gaming complex will be owned and operated by Gateway Casinos and Entertainment.

The Arena replacing the aging Sudbury Community Arena will have a seating capacity of 6,500 seats for concerts and 5,800 for hockey. The Festival Square connecting to the Casino/Hotel complex and Event Center will provide an outdoor entertainment space for family fun.

The project with an allocated budget of $100 million will be cost-shared between the City, Gateway Casinos and Entertainment, Zurich and company. Gateway has planned to invest $60 million and it will bring up to 250 new jobs thereby increasing its work force to over 400 employees in Greater Sudbury.

Construction works on site are expected to begin as soon as all necessary approvals are complete and the complex is expected to open in the spring of 2020.
