The regulatory wheels are turning slowly but soon players should find the state's only one-mile harness racing track along with a casino opening near the intersection of state routes 551 and 422 in Mahoning Township (Edinburg) Pennsylvania near Newcastle. The 'racino' would be located less than half an hour from Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course in Youngstown, Ohio.
In addition to other amenities the racetrack venue will feature 1,500 slot machines, 43 table games and 15 poker tables, and seats for 1,050 race patrons along with a simulcast theater that will accommodate 150.
