News: Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) will rename its charitable gaming facility in Salem, New Hampshire, from Casino Salem to Rockingham Grand Casino as part of its redevelopment. The current facility occupies 19,000 square feet in The Mall at Rockingham Park, which is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Boston. The redevelopment in New Hampshire is expected to open in mid-2027.

Less than a week after Casino Salem’s grand opening at The Mall at Rockingham Park, Kentucky-based company, Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI), acquired a majority stake. Local developers Joe Faro of Tuscan Brands and Sal Lupoli of Lupoli Companies will retain 10% ownership, while CDI agreed to purchase the remaining 90% of the equity for $180 million in cash, according to reports. 

Located at The Mall of Rockingham Park, Level 1, between Macy's & Apple in Salem, New Hampshire, Phase One (2025) of the $160 million, three-storey casino, Casino Salem, features 100 gaming machines and approximately 13 live table games, quick-service food, and a full bar.

According to CDI, once complete, the casino will occupy 160,000 square feet over three floors. It will have 825 historical racing machines (HRMs), 32 table games, 12 electronic table game seats and a 900-seat live entertainment venue. It will also offer several food and beverage options.
