LATEST NEWS: The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas reached a major milestone on June 18, 2026, as tribal leaders broke ground on the future Naskila Casino Resort in Polk County, located in Deep East Texas. Planned for approximately 95 acres of tribal land in Leggett, the resort is expected to open in late 2028 and will represent a significant expansion of the tribe’s gaming and hospitality operations. Tribal officials said the development will include a large gaming floor, more than 350 hotel rooms, a resort-style swimming pool, and event and conference space designed to draw visitors from across Texas and beyond.

The resort development comes after the tribe announced plans earlier this year for a new temporary casino facility on reservation land. Expected to open in summer 2026, the 24-hour venue will include 300 electronic bingo machines, a 24-hour deli, fountain drink stations, a player’s club, and about 300 parking spaces.

The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe owns and operates Naskila Casino and the Ischoopa Travel Center, both situated on tribal reservation land along U.S. Highway 190 between Livingston and Woodville. Since opening in 2016, Naskila Casino has provided Class II electronic bingo gaming, dining, player rewards, and retail offerings. The nearby Ischoopa Travel Center adds a fuel station, convenience store, deli, and additional gaming options for guests and travelers.
