On May 1st, 2023, Canadian private equity management firm Clairvest Group Inc. announced that it will partner with gaming operator ECL Entertainment to build and operate a historical horse racing (HHR) facility in Southern New Hampshire. The two firms have acquired businesses that operate the Lucky Moose Casino & Tavern and The River Casino & Sports Bar in Nashua, NH. The acquired businesses are collectively "NHCG." Clairvest and ECL intend on operating NHCG at its current locations for the time being but are finalizing plans for a large-scale/169,000 sq ft permanent HHR facility in Nashua, "The Mint," at the former Sears at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, which they hope to open in late 2024. 

EC NH plans to plans to install 1,200 historical horse racing gaming terminals and 62 gaming tables in the former department store.
