Oxford Downs Racing and Poker Room is located in the outskirts of Central Florida away from most gaming and racing facilities. Oxford downs is found in Summerfield FL which is about an hour and a half north of Tampa. While the poker room is just a modest-sized building, it faces a magnificent horse track that often hosts special racing events. Horse racing is actually the reason why the poker room exists and it offers a wide range of entertainment options at the facility. This facility is open for nearly 24hrs and it offers free parking. Also featured at this facility is a bar and restaurant attached to the poker room and providing a great view of racecourse. The card room also features a small bar which provides drinks for those that are playing in the poker room. Just as in many other card rooms in Florida there are no traditional table games available such as Blackjack and so on as it is not legal to have such.

The Oxford Downs Poker Room features 24 tables, whilst only 17 offer actual poker when we exclude poker table games. The room is a single games room with a cage immediately on your right as you approach the main desk.  Smoking is not allowed in the poker room making it a non-smoking room, whilst offering high ceilings for better ventilation.
