Update: On August 19, 2022, Rain Rock Casino in Yreka broke ground on its new $40 million expansion featuring 72 hotel rooms and eight cottage suites. Additional amenities will reportedly include a fitness center, 20,000 sq. ft. of landscaped grounds, an outdoor pool, fire pits, a hot tub, waterfalls, and a designated area for outdoor events. An additional 20,000 sq ft will be added to the existing 24,000 sq ft casino footprint. Plans call for 7,000 sq ft of additional gaming space, a new 7,000 sq ft event center/meeting space and will also add 6,000 sq ft to the existing back-of-house operations. Plans also include enclosing and expanding the present bar, configuring it to accommodate future sports betting offerings, along with light bar food and casual entertainment. The target open date is June 1st, 2024.

Rain Rock Casino is owned and operated by the Karuk Tribe and is located just 99 miles north of Redding and 55 minutes south of Medford, Oregon on Interstate 5 Exit 773 in Yreka, California. The casino, set on a floor area of 35,000sq/ft features 349 electronic gaming machines and 8 live table games available for Blackjack, Three Card Poker and Pai Gow. The electronic gaming machines offer a mix of exciting reel and progressive slots as well as the best video poker machines.
