After having spent 25 years as a riverboat casino on the Mississippi River, Davenport, Iowa's first land-based casino, Rhythm City Casino Resort opened on June 16, 2016. Memphis-based RC Casino LLC, led by the Kehl family, purchased the area’s riverboat casino license from former operator Isle Of Capri Casinos in February of 2014 and immediately announced plans to move the operation onshore to its brand new location at the corner of I-80 and I-74 on 40 acres of what used to be farmland.

The facility boasts a 143-room hotel, three dining options including a steakhouse located on the sixth floor, a sports bar, which has a select breakfast menu, buffet, a quick eats, souvenir and snack shop, entertainment lounge, pool and hot tub, and a full-service spa. There is also a 16,000 square foot Event Center, which seats 1,500 and hosts nationally recognized entertainers, and serves as a full-service event and banquet facility.

Gaming at the new land-based location includes a 33,800 square foot gambling floor, with more than 800 slot machines, including video poker and over 66 Progressive machines,and 23 table games featuring craps, roulette, Pai Gow Poker, Three-Card Poker, Seven-Card Stud, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Mississippi Stud, Twenty One Plus Three, and blackjack. There is also a high stakes gaming area, VIP Lounge, and for the poker enthusiasts, the casino has an 8-table poker room which offers Limit and No Limit Texas Hold'em and Omaha -cash games and tournaments.

Ruthie's Steak and Seafood is the most recent edition to the Rhythm City Casino Resort and serves up the most mouth-watering steak and seafood you'll find in the area. Enjoy your meal surrounded by full glass walls, which offer 180-degree views to the surrounding landscape. In the center of the dining room, there is a unique oval bar with a floating ceiling complete with star-like twinkling lights.

Draft Day Sports Lounge at Rhythm City Casino Resort is a bit more sophisticated than your average sports bar, with its warm, contemporary, furnishings. Featured menu items include barbeque pork sliders, pork nachos, pepperoni flat bread, and classic staples like the Reuben, burgers, and French dip. Pair whichever you choose with an ice-cold beer and you're set! The kitchen stops serving food at 1am.
