LATEST NEWS: The Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians opened its 5,400-square-foot invitation-only temporary Class II gaming facility on July 24, 2026, advancing its longstanding plans to establish a $700 million gaming operation in Solano County. The modular venue debuted through a soft launch on the tribe’s 128-acre trust property near Highway 37 following months of renovations and discussions with the City of Vallejo, California.

The facility offers Class II electronic bingo machines, a form of tribal gaming permitted under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act without a state compact.

The opening comes as the U.S. Department of the Interior reevaluates the tribe’s restored-lands determination, a federal review that has attracted regional scrutiny and opposition from nearby tribes. Scotts Valley officials moved forward with the facility, citing the tribe’s sovereign authority to operate Class II gaming.

The City of Vallejo also approved an agreement covering police, fire, water and emergency services for the temporary venue, with provisions to reimburse the city for related costs. Although the arrangement does not permit Class III gaming, it supports current operations as the tribe pursues plans for a larger casino resort.
