Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino opened its doors as just a racetrack in 1959 and in 1999 received its gaming license.The casino features 36,000 square feet of gaming floor with more than 700 slot machines. You'll also find two state-of-the-art Table Master Games, featuring Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold-em, with five individual player stations and a variety of dealers on a high-quality plasma display.The facility also includes a live entertainment venue featuring a mix of concerts and shows.

The one-mile track with live horse racing and pari-mutuel betting has been around since 1959. The track broke ground on a $7 million expansion project that will consist of a 78-room four-story cowboy-themed boutique hotel on Friday, March 19.
