Announced in October 2025, WarHorse Gaming, LLC secured financing for the construction of its third facility to be located just south of I-129 at C Avenue. Construction on the new facility in South Sioux City, Nebraska, which is located just across the street from the recently-completed 5/8-mile horse racing track in the southeast corner of town, is scheduled to start in the summer of 2026 and could open before the end of 2027.

The facility is expected to have 700 gaming positions, including slots, table games and simulcast racing, along with a Nebraska Ale Haus dining facility and live horse racing.

WarHorse Gaming is a division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., the economic development corporation of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, that is already responsible for Warhorse Omaha, which opened Aug. 6, 2024, and Warhorse Lincoln, which opened Nov. 4, 2024. The tribe also owns the WinnaVegas Casino Resort in nearby Sloan, Iowa.
