Due to overwhelming interest and the desire to expand a healthy culture of gambling in Korea, the KRA opened Busan-Gyeongnam Race Park in South Korea's, noew called LetsRun Park in the second largest city, Busan, in September 2005.
The facility has three sand tracks and runs thoroughbred horse races Fridays and Sundays all year through. The tracks consist of an inner and outer track along with a training track. The longest track is 2,000 meters and the inner track is 1,479 meters. The home stretch to the finish line is 460 meters meaning the horse will attain maximum speed on the home straight.
The facility has a single grandstand with amenities for fans' convenience and will accommodate up to 15,000 people. The stables will hold up to about 1,000 ponies.
There is also a horse theme and riding park with rides and exhibitions.

Thoroughbred horse racing is conducted every Friday and Saturday at the LetsRun Race Park. This is the newest, and currently one of three horse racing venues in South Korea. The other race parks are Seoul Race Park and Jeju Race Park.
All wagering is handled over terminals administered by the Korean Racing Authority (KRA) and bettors may place wagers on win, place, quinella, exacta, quinella place, and trio. The minimum wager is 100 won and the most that can be bet is 100,000 won.
