Update:  Imperial Pacific International Holdings Limited has asked officials for permission to extend the construction deadline for the first phase (the property’s 350-room hotel) of its giant Imperial Palace Saipan integrated casino resort by over two years and the current government-mandated August 31 closing date is not going to be met.

Imperial Pacific Resort, formerly the Grand Mariana, opened the first of several development phases for Best Sunshine International on the Island of Saipan on July 6, 2017. Upon completion, the resort’s hotel will feature 329 hotel suites, 15 deluxe villas, numerous Michelin Star chef-headed restaurants, and top-notch convention and entertainment facilities.

The casino currently offers more than 70 gaming tables and upwards of 190 electronic gaming machines.

The opulent DÁ Lounge, cocktail lounge, and icon of the entire property features a royal ambiance as well as a wide selection of classic cocktails, snacks, and wines and spirits from around the world.

Update: Imperial Pacific International's build of 374 hotel rooms at its Imperial Pacific Resort in Saipan will reportedly be completed by August 2018, with the development of 15 luxury villas possibly ready by January.

For now, visitors to the island can play at the temporary casino which occupies a part of Imperial Pacific's (Best Sunshine's) lease in the T Galleria duty-free shopping center in town.

Phases II & III will open at a different location, the site of the current Mariana Resort and Spa on the other side of the island (pending RFP and approvals). The much larger resort development will be built and refurbished incrementally through 2019 adding 1,200 rooms, 400 tables, and 1,000 slots in Phase III, with more additions possible in further phases.

The final phase of construction, due to open by 2020 will see an additional 800 rooms, 500 tables, and 1,000 more slot machines.

At full build out the integrated resort elements will have seen an investment of over US$7 billion and feature as many as 4,252 hotel rooms along with 300 villas. The total number of gaming tables is expected to be 1,600 and total gaming machine count will be 3,500 between all Best Sunshine locations in Saipan.

DÁ Lounge

DÁ Lounge is located on Level 1 in the casino lobby, adjacent to the fairy-like marble staircase and the grand hallway which features the spectacular pastel sky of Saipan and LED ceiling screen. In addition to its signature cocktail, Imperial Royale, guests of the DÁ Lounge can choose champagne or traditional cocktails. And available on the wine menu, Krug, Grande Cuvée Brut 2000 from France, Reims, is also offered.

The cocktail menu at DÁ Lounge will change seasonally and will also expand in the future. Guests can also ask the mixologist there to create customized cocktails not found on the menu catering to their flavor profile.

DÁ Lounge features a royal ambiance as well as a wide selection of classic cocktails, snacks, and wines and spirits from around the world and is open from Sunday to Thursday from 6pm to 2am and on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm to 3am.
