Rush Street Gaming's Rivers Casino Portsmouth, located along Victory Boulevard just off I-264 in Portsmouth, Virginia, officially opened its doors to the public on Monday, January 23, 2023, after holding a soft opening charity event on Thursday prior. The $340 million investment includes a casino with more than 1400 slots, with classics and the latest releases, and High Limit machines, nearly 60 table games and a 24-table dedicated poker room. Other amenities at the Commonwealth's first full-service permanent casino include a retail BetRivers Sportsbook and Top Golf, multiple dining options, three of which are Portsmouth exclusives and cannot be found at any other Rush Street Gaming property, offering everything from fine dining to grab-and-go, a live entertainment lounge, and 20,000 sq ft of flexible event space and more. 

Two of the dining options, Crossings Café and Admirals Steak and Seafood, welcome people under 21 years old. The rest of the casino is 21 and older. 

*Apparently, smoking is allowed on the casino floor, but there will be non-smoking areas in the poker room, the sportsbook, Top Golf, all of the restaurants and the sound bar.

Construction continues on the 4-star hotel and 25,000 sq ft event center at the 400,000-square-foot casino complex. Both will open at a later date to be announced.

Another Portsmouth exclusive, Crossings Café is a full-service casual dining restaurant that serves breakfast favorites along with sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups and more. Full menu and short menu hours/availability differ. 

 

Mian

• Serving: Dim Sum, Chinese, Asian

One of Rush Street's signature restaurants, Mian offers quick-service Asian-inspired cuisine, featuring dishes like edamame, vegetable spring rolls, fried rice, lo mein, General Tso’s chicken, and more.

 

Slice Pizzaria

• Serving: Pizza

You won't find Slice Pizzeria at any of the other Rivers' locations; it is a Portsmouth exclusive. The perfect place for a quick bite, order by the slice, or the whole pie, made fresh onsite and baked inside a real brick oven. *Bar hours vary from restaurant hours.

Admiral's Steak & Seafood

Yard House

Open daily, this national, high-end sports bar chain features an extensive New American fare menu with everyone's bar favorites, 110 taps of draft beer, including domestic, import and craft, and as much classic rock as your ears can stand. Diners can choose from a diverse menu, with everything from Poke Nachos, Blackened Ahi Sashimi and Firecracker Shrimp, to National Hot Chicken & Pancakes juicy burgers, sandwiches, pizza, steak, chops and more.

Meeting & Event Space

Rivers Casino Portsmouth can accommodate everything from formal galas, wedding and banquets to more intimate conferences and retreats within its 20,000 sq ft flexible event space. Choose from the Event Center, the ballroom, with seating for between 1,000 and 400, depending on the seating type, and between 90 and 50 in meeting rooms. There is also a well-lit pre-function area that can accommodate up to 500 via reception cabaret seating. 

TopGolf Swing Suite

Overlooking the sportsbook, at TopGolf Swing Suite you have the best view in the house of the Rivers Sportsbook. Visitors can enjoy cocktails and a variety of food, such as appetizers, burgers, wings and more. This comfy lounge setting features exciting virtual games that play on the big screen.
