Pre-launch temporary gaming facility casino now open in Kings Mountain, NC.
The South Carolina-based Catawba Indian Nation opened a preliminary, temporary version of its proposed $273 million Catawba Two Kings Casino in Kings Mountain, about 35 miles west of Charlotte, North Carolina. The modular facility has a 30,000 sq ft gaming floor, along with some 1,000 slot machines, table games, a sportsbook and limited food & beverage and guest amenities, including a cafe with quick eats, grab-and-go snacks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The casino has also added a food truck featuring local favorites daily from 10am to 10pm.
Live dealer tables are expected at the temporary facility in June 2024.
The temporary casino will operate until the opening of the permanent Catawba Two Kings Casino in 2023.
The new casino will be operated by New York-based hospitality company Delaware North.
