Located in Westlake, Louisiana, about 4 miles or so from the City of Lake Charles, Horseshoe Lake Charles is the expanded land-based version of the former Isle of Capri riverboat casino that closed on August 25, 2020. Caesars Entertainment Inc. brought the casino ashore on Dec. 12, 2022, and opened with 62,000 sq ft of gaming, including 800-plus slots, a High Limit room, more than 40 table games, a WSOP Poker Room, and a Caesars Sportsbook. Other property amenities are new food and drink options, including a Brew Brothers Tap House, as well as a completely redesigned smoke-free hotel tower with 253 rooms, a fitness center, pool (summer 2023), a business center and valet and free self-parking for hotel guests.

The property is also part of the Caesars Rewards gaming loyalty program. 

Caesars Entertainment also operates another Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City, which is less than 200 miles from Horseshoe Lake Charles.
