A group of investors is looking to develop a 164,000 square foot casino and 300-room hotel, along with a 150,000 square foot convention center and adjacent retail space. Formerly known as Osage River Gaming & Conventions, but now, Lake of the Ozarks Community Gaming, would be located in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

On November 12, 2025, the development group led by investor and primary developer Jeff Tegethoff received approval from the City of Lake Ozark for their plans. However, the casino can be built only if Missouri voters approve an amendment to the state constitution, which currently allows gambling only on the Missouri and Mississippi rivers.

In 2024, some of these same investors used the Citizen Initiative Petition process to place a proposed constitutional amendment (Amendment 5) on the general election ballot. The group proposed to add the Osage River to that constitutional stipulation about casinos (as well as earmarking a state gaming license for the Osage River), but the measure failed by a vote of 52.5% NO to 47.5% YES.

Since then, the group has been reformed, adding a new investor and sans a commitment to any casino operator. As such, the investors are optimistic about their chances of changing the constitution in 2026.
