Summer 2024 will see the Venetian unveil a brand-new poker room. Already considered one of the biggest and most popular poker rooms in Las Vegas, upon completion of the expansion, it will be the largest poker room in Sin City. To be located on Level 2 of the luxury resort, the new poker room will feature 50 tables spread across 14,000 square feet. Room amenities include a self-serve soda fountain and coffee machine, dedicated restrooms, TVs throughout and USB and USB-C charging posts at all 50 seats. What's more, a dedicated streaming room will allow players to coordinate a vlogging session and provide the ability to stream tournament final tables and cash games, according to the operator. Viewed as a "strategic move," the new poker room will be located nearer to the popular Canal Shoppes and The Palazzo self-parking garage.

Located on Las Vegas Boulevard South, in Las Vegas, Nevada, The Venetian resort complex includes the adjacent Palazzo resort and The Venetian Convention and Expo Center center. The complex includes the world's second-largest hotel, with 4,049 rooms, 3,068 suites, and a 120,000-square-foot casino. One of the premier hotels on the Strip, it is known for its replication of the canals of Venice and Saint Mark's Square. Complete with gondolas and strolling performers, the luxury hotel and casino is situated on the site of the old Sands Hotel. 

In addition to its thousands of rooms and suites, the hotel has a multitude of amenities, such as a wedding chapel, and 20 restaurants, including signature eateries from Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck, Buddy Valastro, and others. Other amenities include multiple poolside bars, an impressive 134,000-square-foot spa, 11 outdoor pools and an award-winning nightclub, and more.

The Grand Canal Shopping Complex offers 500,000 square feet of shopping, one of the largest in Las Vegas. The canal spans its length, with gondolas drifting over the waters making for a truly unique experience.

The massive gaming floor covering 120,000 square feet of space features over 1,247 slots (and 1,038 at sister The Palazzo), 139 games, and a high-limit salon, where they deal 20 table games, including Baccarat. Other gaming amenities include a 37-table poker room, which is host to major poker tournaments and a 24-hour Race & Sports Book, and more.

The late (1/11/21) Sheldon Adelson's (sold in Feb. 2022 to Vici Properties and Apollo Global Management)  breathtaking mega-resort combines the latest technology, truly mammoth scale, and the venerable art and culture of the European jewel. The Venetian's take on Venice is a must-see. Adelson was the chairman and chief executive officer of Las Vegas Sands Corporation.

Paid self-parking is now in effect at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas for non-registered hotel guests (visitors) and registered hotel guests for those who booked on or after August 24, 2023.

The Venetian Poker Room

Opened in 2006, The Venetian Poker Room is one of the largest and most popular cash game and tournament venues in Las Vegas. The 37-seat non-smoking card room is home to the popular Venetian DeepStack series and regularly hosts World Poker Tour (WPT) and Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) events. 

The semi-enclosed room, located near the sportsbook and Players Club, is decorated with luxurious wood and leather fixtures, 21 large-screen plasma televisions, crystal chandeliers, and a comfortable waiting area with large leather sofas.  There's a separate high stakes area in which 7 of the tables are located. Other amenities include a dedicated cashier cage, tableside food service, player waitlist, dedicated tournament registration desk, and more. The adjustable, wheeled chairs are very comfortable. All of the poker tables come with auto-shufflers and a tableside management system that allows the dealers to notify floor personnel when their services are needed.

The Venetian offers nine-handed cash game play, featuring player-favorite games such as Limit Hold’em, No Limit Hold’em, Omaha 8 or Better, Pot Limit Omaha, and more with limits starting at $4/$8. Ans some of the better daily tournaments on the Strip and, during the WSOP, a series of deep stack tournaments that are highly popular alternatives to WSOP events. Waitlists are automated and easily visible from the waiting area. Poker Room amenities include a comfortable waiting area, two charging outlets at each player’s seat, tableside food service featuring a full menu 24/7 provided by Grand Lux Cafe, and large-screen plasma televisions that are visible from every table in the room.

The Venetian offers some of the most generous comps on the Strip ($1+/hour) and suite rates for poker players who are interested in staying at either The Venetian or The Palazzo.

We rarely review in-room dining here on the World Casino Directory but at The Venetian the quality, value, and selection rise to the standards of fine dining for many items. Take your breakfast in bed, start with a kick like a bloody mary or a protein shake - enjoy some American fare or signature pizza for lunch, and if you are still too enamored with your surroundings and company to leave your suite for dinner, by all means order the pan seared salmon filet, braised beef lasagna, or filet mignon with all the accompaniments and to complement your meal, something from the wine list.

TAO Asian Bistro

• Serving: Asian Fusion, Dinner, Late Night

Located at The Venetian near Upper-Level Doge's Palace entrance, TAO Asian Bistro is led by Corporate Executive Chef Ralph Scamardella and specializes in authentic Asian cuisine, incorporating components from Japan, China and Thailand. There is also a full sushi bar and cocktails that pair perfectly with the Asian cuisine. The Tao Lounge is adjacent to the restaurant. 

Canyon Ranch Café

• Serving: Breakfast, American, Lunch, Desserts, Cafe/Variety

Located poolside off The Venetian fourth floor, Canyon Ranch Café features made-from-scratch meals made with organic whenever possible and free of additives and preservatives. Guests are able to detox with organic, non-GMO ingredients, from organic juices like the Vegas Recovery to grass-fed beef and wild salmon.

Grand Lux Cafe at The Venetian

Located near The Venetian Theatre, the Grand Lux Cafe at The Venetian is brought to you by the creators of The Cheesecake Factory and just like it, has an extensive menu from snacks to breakfast to dinner - something for everyone. Guests choose from breakfast items such as Huevos Rancheros and Peanut Butter & Banana Pancakes to appetizers, pizza, seafood, steaks, burgers, chicken, specialty items, pasta, salads, sandwiches, and more than 20 desserts. The restaurant also boasts an equally eclectic wine list, including selections from all regions.

Noodle Asia

Located next to the Race & Sports Book, Noodle Asia features lgenerous portions of noodle dishes, vegetarian specialties, rice and congee dishes, and soups. Guests choose from oriental favorites such as barbecue pork and roast duck noodles in broth, Singapore vermicelli, shrimp-fried rice as well as other fried noodle specialties with seafood, beef, cegetableand chicken.

 

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer

Located next to The Venetian Poker Room, Black Tap Craft Burgers offers their award-winning craft burgers, famous CrazyShake™ milkshakes, craft beer, and cocktails. The Black Tap menu features a nice selection of burgers from the classic All-American Burger, to the award-winning Greg Norman Burger, with wagyu beef, house buttermilk dill, blue cheese and arugula. For an alternative, the Vegan Burger is a black bean patty, vegan mayo, pickled onions, salsa verde and cilantro. You can't leave Black Tap without first experiencing its signature “CrazyShake™” milkshakes, which you have to see to believe, with their over-the-top decorations and so many flavor combinations, you'll find it hard to choose. There is seating for 138 indoors, while visitors wanting to dine alfresco will enjoy the 52-seat patio with the best views on the strip, overlooking the Venetian’s famous canals.

For grab-and-go service, Black Tap To-Go is also available 7 days a week at the same location. Hours vary.

Bouchon

Located in the Venezia Tower, Bouchon, from Chef Thomas Keller, whose restaurants have won multiple awards from the James Beard Foundation, is a modern take on French cuisine. Whether you choose to dine inside the bistro or al fresco on the patio, the Sunday brunch is star. Bouchon also features an oyster bar and two bakeries also call the property home.

TAO Beach

Located on the 4th floor of The Venetian, TAO Beach is open daily from 11:30am to 6pm during the warm season. The 18,000-square-foot oasis includes a 30-foot bar, 12 luxury cabanas that feature amenities such as air-conditioning, high definition plasma screen televisions with gaming consoles, WiFi and customized mini bars. TAO Beach also offers sunglass cleaning and also staffs masseuses. An extensive appetizer and grill menu is also available.

The Venetian Pool Deck

The five-acre pool deck shared by The Venetian and sister casino The Palazzo features a combined five hot tubs and 23 cabanas (Venetian), and 39 (Palazzo). The Venetian also has four outdoor pavilion beds available for same day reservation, cocktail service and center bar, outdoor showers and a poolside menus from Wolfgang Puck.

The Pool Retail Shop, which is open seasonally as are the pools, sells suntan lotion, sunglasses, men's and women's swim wear, shirts, swim goggles, flotation devices, magazines, cigarettes, as well as other pool-related items.
